Brent Nelson has been guiding for Ken
Penrod's Life Outdoors Unlimited since1989. He
specializes on the Tidal Potomac River and Deep Creek Lake in Garrett
County MD. He also guides on the Upper Chesapeake Bay Complex and entertains
fly fishing clients on the clear water streams of Western Maryland.
Nelson drives a Ranger boat with a 225 Mercury EFI motor.
Nelson is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain and retains both a Maryland tidal water guides license and Maryland freshwater guides license. He's trained in Advanced First Aid and CPR. Brent resides with his wife Kathy and son Hunter in Columbia Maryland. They also have a log cabin located on Dan's Mountain, in Western Maryland, not far from Deep Creek Lake. Brent owns and operates Columbia Design & Graphics, a graphic design firm in Columbia, Maryland, and GTNET, and internet design/hosting firm. Nelson is Life Outdoors Unlimited's webmaster. Brent's hobbies include bowhunting, turkey hunting, fishing, waterfowling and watercolors.
